So many times this year teachers have come to me asking me why they cannot see pictures in Google Drive that were just uploaded. "The pictures were just there! Why aren't they showing up!?"
The problem is the native image format of the device.
The default format on iPhones and iPads is the HEIC image format. It is higher-quality than the normal jpg option, but Google Drive doesn't recognize them -- especially when trying to insert images in Docs.
Normally, you change the format of the image in the Camera app found in Settings. But the way we manage the iPads, the camera app is not available.
In order to use images in the HEIC format, they need to be converted. Many converters I found online only convert 5 images at a time.
I finally found JPG HEIC Converter which converts many more images at a time than only 5.
It is very useful if you need to convert between the two formats.
