I Learned Today: How to Get a Date Picker in Google Sheets

I was curious to find a way to add a date picker in Google Sheets. A date picker is where you click a cell and a calendar pops-up so the user can click on a date. It's a pretty slick way to make the experience a little easier for the user.

I kept trying to adjust the number in the Format menu but had no luck.

There are a million posts on how to do this, but I found one here.

First, right-click the cell you want to add the calendar. Then choose data tab in the menu. In the dropdown menu, click data validation.

Next, in the data pop-up, change the criteria to date, and choose is valid date.

Now you have a date picker in your spreadsheet.
